All the President’s Men
In 1976, All the president’s Men, gave a new perspective on how corrupt presidential elections can become. The film reenacts the operation that took place in the “Watergate Scandal”, Reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein uncover the dirty deeds of the presidential campaign and the White House involvement in the cover up of the Watergate Incident. The film demonstrates the perseverance of two reporters that derived the story of the break in into something epic which eventually was utilized and forced the president Nixon out of office.
The film concentrates on the events that occurred on June 17, 1972, five Cuban nationals are arrested breaking in the National Democratic Headquarters located in the Watergate Building. A relative new Reporter, Bob Woodward is assigned to a seemingly trifling story which turns out to be very instrumental story when he notices that the Cuban Immigrants come out with top notch lawyers helping them the midst of everything. Throughout the Plot, he is joined by Carl Bernstein, whose career is in a downhill situation. They eventually end up with a source called Deep throat which leads them to uncover that the money in the burglars accounts had been donated to the Committee to Reelect President Richard Nixon. Soon After they realize how hard is to publish the story due to the government determination to eliminate the story in the name of national security.
Watching This Film, It made me realize how far muckraking is pushed in order to get to the truth. These reporters had to persevere through endless assaults to their story which eventually enacted the resignation of the president. It also conveyed of why/how government utilize corruption in order to benefit their own.

Movie Review Essay

Writer/Director J.J. Abrams has done it again, with an entirely original film, “Super 8”which came out in June 10, 2011 made an outstanding 127 mill.$ in Box office sales, is not just a film based on a television show but a masterpiece duo with Steven Spielberg. This film combines sci-fi, family drama, an alien invasion with childhood romances this meant that it required a lot of imagination. It drove me back to my childhood and made me feel powerful, almost like a hero, It reminded me of when I used to go play with friends and family in the park, trying to discover a larger part of life. The three main factors of this movie, characterization, writing, and scenery/set design are implied by a fairly young crew of actors which add this sense of comfort ability and catch the attention of an audience of all ages, while it relates to everybody’s life.

J.J. Abrams gives the audience instances to grow compassionate towards the characters as they discover their vulnerabilities and strong suits. Abrams does this, showing the characters through descriptive scenes, not just making them scream or cringe like most action films do. He makes them feel very natural with very overdramatic scenes. The actor Joel Courtney gives a superb portrayal as Joe Lamb, a child whose mother has just died in a horrible accident, and his intensity is matched by Elle Fanning as Alice Dainard, the rebellious girl of the town. The scientific fiction storyline is set in the 1970’s with a small group of kids working on their Super 8 movie when suddenly they witness a disturbing train crash. Followed with mysterious disappearances they suspect that it was not an accident, as the deputy tries to uncover the mystery they find out that the inexplicable events are caused by something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined. What made the plot of the movie come together was most likely done by the set design which gives realism to every scene and the cast deliver the keen, smooth rhythm allowing the audience to become captivated by the curiosity of knowing what is lurking in the small Ohio town.

Super 8 is Creative and has the ability to encapsulate viewers of all ages, this is guaranteed as your childhood is captivated again as you also relive precious memories. J.J. Abrams unique combinations of styles conceived from other movies, for example; ET, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. These examples make this summer movie what it is, by conveying the same persona or in other words it has all the great elements that make it a great summer movie with a great story to tell. This all accomplished with all the important factors that conclude how the movie will be realized, are the characterization, the writing, scenery/set design, and casting.

Awesome Movies Everyone Should Watch Right Now

My number one choice is Inception on account of being so mysterious in the begining with so much action then the plot was beautifully planned out giving a masterfull performance of tentative emotions throughout the movie, but the conclusion was the main brain puzzler. If you want childish fun movie, I recommend shrek 2 or shrek 4, I skipped the third one due to being to ambiguous. Those two should make you laugh at least once during the movie. Now if you are looking for action and a great story of revenge, I recomend Law Abiding Citizen, It has everything except some comedy( well I dont know what you consider funny). I usually watch movies on the TV. because I have Free HBO for several months, If not I rent some movies from the redbox.

Where do I get my news from? Well Let Me Think.

In matter of the fact I get news constantly from my laptop and television sometimes through the radio. For example the day I heard about the hurricane and the earthquake in Virginia, was through Msn or as most people now call it, Msnbc, pretty bad*** when it comes around to real news because they update every hour after a chaotic event happened, and they also give you a real good sense about the situation. Once the the TV networks begin to broadcast it gets Interesting due to every network covering different parts of the situation, giving you an inside of everything. The only thing between different sources is the concentration on the topic, one may cover the topic profusely while others move along the motion of events.

Mass Media Pollution by Chris Martin

What Do you Wake up to? Sounds like a stupid questions but actually most of the modern world would recall shutting off the radio, the iHOME, or just that annoying jingle on your phone. You might just relate to this scenario, if not, well lets just say, I just gave you a glimpse of my chaotic mornings. It does not just stop there, throughout the day I go through a rigorous course of events, for example: When I get to the bus stop, I put on my headphones and begin listening to the radio or my playlists. Then at the arrival of my school, I begin scouting in the internet for Homework Assignments, shortly after that start googling for news and media about Irene(The Hurricane). Then hitch a ride with my sister and converse about our interesting events that happened to us on the perticular day while listening to Klove 91.3. Then Relax while watching HBO or Primer Impacto, Help mom with the chores around the House(you get it, like the Tv show). At last end the day with setting up the alarm. Did you notice how boring our lives are now, our society is just overwhelmed or so used to  this Mass Media all around us, we probably just regard it as normal. Social lives now depend on social networks, ads for everything like movies, Food, and daily specials in stores.
